<sigh>I suppose that I am actually a collector of the USFA single-actions.  I am wondering just how this happened.  A long time back I wanted a 4-3/4" CC & dome blue .45 Colt but then there were some "opportunities" and you might know how that goes.  No, I couldn't pass them up.  At about the same time that I decided that I would order my first (and isn't that phrasing telling?) 4-3/4" CC & dome blue .45 Colt an early 7-1/2" CC & blue .45 Colt wandered my way from a friend in PA.  Then, my local pusher enabler gun-store owner (now boss) had a Henry Nettleton 7-1/2" for too good a price to pass on.  That makes 3, all in .45 Colt.  Enough, right?  No, not for me apparently.

A couple of weeks back another friend out in AZ decided to move a Rodeo out of his house and I reluctantly committed to purchase pounced on the deal.  Serial K703 now resides with me.  I've had her out and about.  Here's the former owner's photo.  The holster has gone elsewhere and she now travels in either an El Paso T3P or Mernickle P6SA.

Hobie:

Very nice collection of four USFA revolvers and all in .45 Colt caliber - Good holsters too!  Two 7-1/2 inch barrel models and two 4-3/4 inch barrel models.........I can see the handwriting on the wall - You need to acquire two 5-1/2 inch models to balance out the the contrasting barrel lengths!

Good luck collecting the remaining models.

The ones you've picked up are very nice. 4 is a great begining. If you're not a collector of USFA's you're in denial.  ;D

I have one Rodeo II. Traded with an acquaintance for it last year. It was NIB all the way to the range. All I can say is nice, nice, nice. It is like my old early 2nd gen SAA. For my 2nd USFA I'm now thinking 44-40.

I started with one and am now up to six but still am somewhere behind jd .

The Pathfinder

Old Doc, I'm right there with ya', pard. Got the first half dozen, now trying to figure out which ones to add. Started with a pair of Rodeo guns, 45 4 3/4" which I put 1 pc ivories on. Followed that up with a Henry Nettleton and a sheriff's model, both in 45. Lately added a pair of their SAA models in 44-40 with 7 1/2" on the BPF. you just can't beat their fit and finish, easily on par or better than some of the Colts I own. ;D

Very nice collection with all good choices.  I agree with jdpress......you need to acquire a couple of 5 1/2" models to balance things out. :D

I only have two, but working on saving for another. Absolutely the BEST quality in a firearm in the WORLD.

USFA,,,, the SAA Colt should be.
