Howdy,

Thought you all would want to see my first attempt at making a set of chaps.  After 6 months of sitting idle I finally got to use the new Ferdco TK-1245 (Pfaff copy) sewing machine.  This machine is really one smooth running little devil and handles the thicknesses like a dream.  The first photograph is of the original pair I used as a model and the second shot is the pair I made which are for a young lady who is going to do horse showing.  Comments are welcomed...that way we always learn from others.

I know this young lady is going to look great in those and present a fine figure at the horse show!  I agree about not giving credit to the sewing machine, I have yet too see one that can cut, design and tool leather.  ;D

Hi,

To but in, I have been thinking about making a brown-on-white hair on cowboy vest for a Hollywood style rig.

I already have matching pants and material for the back ... I even have a pattern ... but how does one connect/sew the hair on front to the back and sides?

My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...
