I've been browsing the Internet looking fo any books covering the BP Revolver, nuts, bolts, loading, and the like. Can anyone suggest a comprehensive book covering the aforementioned?
I've learned enough to start shooting my Pietta 1851 Navy (confederates/brass) Revolvers at the range, but being as anal as I am, I'm thirsting to totally immerse myself into Cap and ball revolver shooting.

Thank You,

 A MUST HAVE!
Percussion Pistols and Revolvers
By Bates and Cumpston
  Packed with information and tips!

Next must have:
Black Powder and the Old West
By Shoot Magazine
Material is a couple years old but noone is going to give you all this much information so true and so conscise!
Both books will cost less than $50 from Amazon and if you are just starting out or even if you have been at BP a while, this stuff is GOOD!

The Black Powder books by Sam Fadala, may help. One has a section on loads and comments on pistols.
The Gun digest black powder loading manual,
The complete black powder handbook,

Driftwood Johnson

That's bad business! How long do you think I'd stay in operation if it cost me money every time I pulled a job? If he'd pay me that much to stop robbing him, I'd stop robbing him.

Ya probably inherited every penny ya got!

On the historical side, Dixie used to sell one called "Remington Tips" that covers all the Remington revolvers and the Rider pistol too I believe. I've got it here somewhere, but haven't even thought about it till now.
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.
