I have a 'relic' condition Uberti Outlaw that I might do something funky with.  My idea, if feasible, would probably require some SAA pattern parts.

My questions:

Whats the tpi on an Uberti Outlaw barrel?

Is the distance from the center of the cylinder pin to the center of the chamber (basically talking a radius measurement) the same as an SAA.?

A work in progress.

I have 2 1875 after fixing the triger on one it seamed familiar. Then it came to me is it possible that Uberti uses the same internals in the 1875 remington as well as the 1873 Colt. I'm waiting for a friend to bring his over for a farther look.  Has anyone noticed this before.

Very few parts are the same in the Colt and Remington.  Front sight, firing pin, basepin nut, screw, and spring, maybe some other screws.  You can check the part numbers and descriptions on VTI's website.

The Remington and the Colts are completely different designs! The parts are not interchangeable.

Even if the barrell threads on the 1875 Rem and the 1873 Colt were the same you would still need a lathe to make them interchange. If you have the lathe... it won't matter if the threads are the same.
The only reason the distance between the chamber center and the arbor center maters is if you are going to swap cylinders. It would likely be easier to modify one cylinder to look like the other.

If your going to build Fankenstien you will need a Labratory (Mill, Lathe, etc.) to build him in. ;D

Good luck

Absolutely.....would require some machining, but I'm up for it.

The nature of the question is really will the chamber of a Colt cylinder line up with the barrel on a Remington assuming it fit into the window.  I'd need to use a Colt cylinder for the caliber I want (insofar as I want to keep expenses down).

I think creating a cylinder from scratch makes my project impractical in terms of my skills and pocket book.
