Can anyone tell me if the stops in the newer Kirst Konverters are smaller that the older ones.  I have an old one in a .38LC 1851 Pietta that I want to replace, but have been told that if I buy a new one I might have to replace or reduce the size of the bolt.
Any help would be appreciated.

The bolt notches on Kirst cylinders are cut to the width of current production Italian cylinders.

One of the first steps in fitting any conversion cylinder is to make sure the bolt fits the notches. Narrowing the bolt if neccessary.
Narrow the bolt keeping the sides parrallel (don't wedge fit) and removing material from the side of the bolt closest to the center of the gun.

Kirst Konverter LLC offers converter installation for $80 + $20 return shipping
Install includes cutting the loading port, refinish , and any tuning needed.
Call 254-248-0663 if you need an install or if you just need fitting advice. ;)
