I was ordering some other stuff and I ordered one of these as well, sort of on a whim.

It cuts way better than an Xacto Knife or Box Cutter.. I cut a 6" wide strip (too wide for my strap cutter) from a 10 ounce hide and it cut through in one pass with little effort.

I don't know long a blade lasts yet. I bought a couple extras but would probably try to touch one up before trashing it.

It does not cut curves well, primarily a straight line or very slight curve cutter.

COOL. Thanks! I have been looking at one of those. Might just give it a try.

A friend of mine has used one of those for a couple years and loves it. I haven't tried it yet but looks like I need too.

I do not use it for heavy leathers but do use these for cutting fringe and several other lightweight uses.  It is great on anything stretchy such as suede.

Slowhand Bob, for fringe, check this out (Jerry Stripper).

I have one. It is very adjustable by stacking spacers and putting blades in the stack where you want the cuts to be.

it works great. You might want to order extra blades. I think it comes with 5, but you can put lots of them in it if you wish.

I have one that is the 60mm, and it is, without a doubt, the most useful tool for cutting straight lines on leather. I have a 6"x24" clear rule to go with my rotary and it alows for perfect cuts.

Blades can be stropped to keep them going strong for a LONG time... I also use the self-healing mat that Olfa sells to go with the knife and rule. .... This mat is trashed as I have used it with my headknife for years...but it is still going strong... couldn't do my work without them.

Rickk, I have one of them and ordered it with an extra blade.  I have cut wet rawhide, tanned deer skin and 9/10 ounce vegetable tanned hides with it.  Still using the original blade.  Should say "I bought mine over 20 years ago."
