Moderators,
This is not a knock on any company, and if this isn't the proper place to post this, feel free to move it.

In January, when I figured out how much of my money the government was going to let me have back, I went shopping for a Uberti Centennial.  I had established online that it appeared that Dixie Gun Works had the better price among the isellers, but I also have a Cabelas and a BassPro in close proximity to me, and I checked with each of them about getting one in for me.  I also called my local gun dealers thinking if they could get in the ballpark, I would much rather support local businesses.  Anyway, over the next couple of days, my calls were mostly returned with "can't be located", "no one has any" etc., so I called DGW and confirmed they had one in stock, and I placed the order.  Had it shipped to a local FFL, of course, went and did the paperwork, and waited for the three days or so for the gun to come in.  I believe I had it hand by Jan. 29, or about then.

Three days ago--March 3--I got home and had a message on my answering machine.  "This is______ with Cabelas, and I've called about that 1876 Rifle you wanted to order.  There are not any in the country right now, and [their supplier, apparently] says there may be a very few come in, but they've been spoken for, so you're probably looking at about six months.  Feel free to call us if there's anything else we can do for you......"

Viva DGW....
As I said, I don't intend this to be a knock on Cabelas or anything---they weren't nearly the only people to tell me none were available---but I thought it was odd it took them six weeks to even call me back.

I guess my local gun store has more pull than Cabela's. I ordered it mid January, the store owner called his supplier and they said they had the one I wanted in stock. Ten days later (California), the gun was mine.

Cimarron

Reminds me of last June when I decided to buy one.  I saw a CDNN sale flyer with the Chaparals listed for $700 or so.  Gave them a call and gollee gee wihiz they didn't have any in stock at the moment.  Not to be put off I then decided to go with an Uberti and called Cimarron and Taylors.  Both had what I wanted in stock.  I went with Cimarron because they are closer to home.  I had my FFL friend fax his papers to them and had the gun in about three or four days.  Put it on my Discover card and even got 1% back ;D

I am not sure if it is still the case, but I remember that other Uberti made models like the 1860 Henry and the 1873, from Cabellas, were marked "Cabellas" on the barrel.  It may be that they are awaiting their brand-name run from Uberti.  Cabellas will hold onto an order for a long time in anticipation of the supply line filling.  Had the same delayed response from them with primers, but they did eventually come through.
