Need some help!!

Purchased a New Winchester 94 in 45 Colt by Mail Order and I now find out that the stock is a little to long for me to be comfortable, talked to the dealer and apparently this is the standard length.

Tried a Uberti and Marlin, same problem.

Does anyone know of a Smith or Woodworker that would shorten the stock, needs to be about 2 1/2 or 3 inches shorter and a new butt piece put on.

Thanks for any help.

Warbucks,
Nearly any competent gunsmith should be able to accomodate you.  I can almost assure you that the amount you need to shorten your stock will be much less than you think.  The best way is to be measured for LOP (your length of pull requirement) before you let anyone start hacking on the stock.  Try google search, yellow pages, etc for gunsmiths in your area.  Call around and chose the one who gives you the best answers.
