Historical Question regarding spur straps

Is there a good source to show differences in spur straps by decade, from 1850s to 1900?   I have done multiple searches on-line, but nothing I have found differentiate by decade or even approximate year.

I too have wondered about spur straps .... for instance, when spru straps went from one piec custom made to the adjustable buckled type
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...
