Thanks for the chemistry and engineering lessons Mako.  Now I know why the STS and Nitro 27 Gold hulls drop out of all my SxS shotguns (1889 Remington, TTN, and Liberty II).  I can usually get 3 reloads before they start burning/melting and sticking in the chambers.  I'f I'm real lucky, they'll go four times.
