Uberti 1860 Henry Muzzle Damage

I dropped my Uberti 1860 Henry on its muzzle and have  several small couges from it hitting the cement.  The crown is not effected so I don't need any crown work.  The couges are about one quarter around the muzzle.  My gunsmith said he thought the barrel sleeve/magazine tube was part of the barrel and could not be removed.  He wanted the sleeve removed so he could put the barrel in his lathe.  I know taking off the front of the sleeve gives me some barrel exposure but it is not enough to work with the lathe.  It really is not that much noticeable but if it is possible to return the muzzle to its original condition I would very much like to do it.
Thanks for any help on this matter.

The Henry muzzle is crowned and the magazine tube is built into the barrel.  The sleeve on the end only has one screw holding it on, but as you note all of the round part of the barrel is what is inside the sleeve.  The rest is Octagon with the mag tube attached.  If the muzzle isn't that bad and the rifling isn't damaged I'd just take a Cratex wheel and knock the edges off the burrs and cold blue it.

Ditto to Pettifogger.  Keep the fix simple.  Ah ....... and don't drop it ..... again ;)

Thanks for the replies.  I think that is good advice.  And, yes, no more dropping.
