Hello!
Has anyone been using the Kirst gated cylinder for Uberti 1860 Armys?  If so, how is it holding up?  I know his quality is superb, but I'm wondering how the pistol itself holds up.  I know the converter ring does not screw onto the frame.  Does that cause any problems with battering?  Thanks!

There is no "battering" problem with Kirst parts in an 1860.

Coffinmaker,
Thanks!  That's what I wanted to know, as another site said there could be battering of the forcing cone over time.  How many rounds have you put through yours?

I'm not sure how battering of the forcing cone could happen.
Any battering that would happen would be at the breach face.
Over time you can experience some deformation of the Hammer face but this will also happen if the gun is in pecussion form.

I have several thousand rounds through my personal gun with no problems.

We welcome any input from those of you using our product!

Thanks, Raven!
Information from "the horse's mouth", so to speak.  Excellent!
