I have an old Interarms Rossi in 45LC that I want to put a spring kit in.  I had a devil of a time getting the bolt pin out.  I finally got it on Saturday.  When I went trough the small parts after disassembly, I found the ejector collar was missing.  VTI has one listed for an Army San Marko.  Will that fit my Rossi?

Yes.  But, if you want a Rossi part, contact Nate Kiowa Jones @ Stevesgunz.  He is a Rossi warranty shop and has most if not all parts.  You can also get your spring kit from him.  Great to do business with.

Steve says he makes those himself.  I'm getting geared up to send for one, from him, thanks.  I would still like to know if the Army San Marko would fit but not enough to send for one and try it.

If'n ya had one to look at, I reckon making one would be a snap....it's pretty much just a short piece of tubing....unfortunately it was lost, not just in 2-pieces the way most of my problems occur.

best to ya,

Slim

Found it on the steps to downstairs.  It must have stuck to someone's shoe and fell off on the step.  Now if I could just get the @#$%&* thing back together.  There has to be a trick or a gizmo to make this easier.  I was up to one in the morning trying and finally gave up and went to bed.  I've been avoiding it so far today.

THANKS! to you that replied.

I've done it more than a few times, but not lately....I may have used a a pin-punch as a slave, inserted from the opposite side. I recall assembling the parts, then carefully close/lock the bolt while simultaneously aligning the ejector. The insert the locking pin, tap home & put the screw back in.

Done (I think)

Best as I recall....Patience is key...You can do it - good luck!

Assemble the ejector, spring and collar.  Now take a FIRED case and hook it under the extractor.  Push down on the mouth of the case (this is where you will appreciate having installed one of Steve's ejector springs) and slide the bolt into the action.  Chamber the brass and install the pin.
