Please see my post in SCORRS about a 58 Rem I am trying to fix for my Brother in law.

Thanks  Rebel  Dave   aka    Dave C.

Dave,
Are you talking about the Lyman '58s?  I will tell you right now I am not a Remington pattern expert.  The Kid is pretty knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the manufacturers.

I understand them pretty well mechanically and I have owned a few and have just one right now.  I have made it a point not to post over on the SCORRS forum because I figure there are many more knowledgeable than I on Remingtons, that's kind of a pet peeve of mine...

I'll send you a PM telling you how to tell if it is a Uberti, Euroarms (Armi San Paolo), Pietta, Armi San Marco or Pametto Armory.  It's probably one of the first two.

Now if you want to talk Colt's pattern pistols I'll talk at you until your ears bleed. :P
In particular I've been told I could talk to a stump about 1860s until it explodes.

Thanks for the PM. It is an Army San Paolo I am not much of a Rem guy either. I have 5 open tops now, and 5 or 6 C&Bs. Altho I do have a short bbl Rem 44 C&B that shoots very well.

I just picked up my latest 71-72 open top today, i'ts a 44 spec, w/ a5.5 in bbl, w/navy grips, from Cimarron.  Havnet even got any ammo for it yet. I only use blk powder in my open tops, and C&Bs

Once again Thanks.    Rebel Dave

I've got a couple of stumps in my pasture I'd like exploded, could you talk to them? ;D

This is no simple mindless talking mind you...It is intense and might require an Easy Chair, refreshments and periodic shoulder rubs to keep me in.  Seriously, this makes filibusters look easy.
