I just bought my spencer carbine and a have been getting a bunch of different opinions thrown at me.  The gun is in shooting condition, but is not modified to centerfire.  Could you give me a list of what I need and where I can get what is needed?  And any tips you have for cleaning and other maintenance I should know about.

Hi NPM5063,

You might want to look over the SORI thread ;D ;D  It may take some time, but there is plenty info there to get you going in the right direction to shoot your original Spencer.

Look at the section entitled, Parts, Modifications, and Repairs for what you are looking for.  Try this thread - http://www.cascity.com/forumhall/index.php/topic,2653.0.html
