Howdy.
Does anyone have a fairly recent Weaver price sheet or catalog with prices in it I could get? My local farm store said they can order for me, but wont let me see the catalog. They do handle Weaver merchandise at least. I need to bring in the numbers, and then they will look them up and we can decide from there. ::)
I would like to see the prices first, compare, save up, and order, if you know what I mean...
Thanks,

I think I only have one current edition, don't know how the prices compare to the others but I'll look when I get to the shop to see if there are any old but not too old ones.

Have you tried getting an account with them? I'm pretty sure they only want business accounts and don't know the requirements but since you do leather craft it may be worth checking on.

I know Weaver has a "Tack" catalog and a "Leather and Supplies" catalog. It may be different now, but in the past "Feed Stores" could only order from the "Tack" catalog and unless you had a retail store in your shop, saddlemakers could only order from the "Leather and Supplies" catalog. Which in my opinion is the way it should be.

Ahh, thanks for that tidbit David. I will check with them and see which catalog they have.
Thanks for checking on that Cliff.

If you let me know what you would like, I will give you the cost and can even have it drop shipped direct to you... I sure bet I can beat the "feed store" quote as well..... this goes for everyone here who would like to order.. ;)

Just so you know they have went crazy on the shipping. It's $15.00 for up to a $100.00 i belive and $20.00 for up to a $200.00 order. They no longer ship by weight. My package weighed just over a pound and they charged me $20.00 to ship. So you might want to look around some more before you order.

When times are hard, what often differentiates one business from another is customer service.

Sounds like they are trying real hard to go bankrupt ....

Vernon and them are nice people to deal with and can be very helpful as far as customer service.

That said I only order certain things from them anymore and try and do large orders because of their shipping charges.

Dalton, I only found the current edition, three weeks ago I could have given you the last several years but I've been on a major cleaning spree in the last few weeks. The clutter finally got to the point I couldn't wade through anymore. ;D

FWIW -
1 - Vernon no longer owns Weaver
2 - The shipping did go up but they also removed the minimum order fee. On the other hand shipping companies (UPS and FedEx) have increased their charges significantly as well so the cost gets passed on to the consumer.......
3 - Yes they only sell direct to a bonafide business - you have to have a resellers or tax license to open an account

The people at Weaver are nice and their helpful. But ever sense they sold controlling intrest to another company the shipping is way to high. I for one won't be buying anything from them in the future if i can get what i want any place else and i have been 15 plus year customer. Gougeing on shipping will come back to bite them i think. Moneys tight and their selling to a small market. But then again GREED drives ever thing in some business's and that seems to be the path their own.
