Same Gun in Two Movies?

In "Last Stand at Saber River", an open top conversion plays a significant role.  That looks like the same gun in "Crossfire Trail".  What do you think--did Selleck use the same gun in both movies?  Just speculation, of course.

In Crossfire Trail, Selleck uses an 1871 Colt Open Top. This gun was designed by the manufacturer to be a dedicated cartridge firearm. The Cable Conversion is a different story.
A work in progress.

Thanks.  I should have mentioned that I don't know my open tops--I am probably weaker in identifying them than any other common gun from the period.  I should have known that there would be some obvious difference that I didn't notice.  I'll have to do some research, then watch both movies again.  That's never a burden!

Thanks again.

Here's one for you, the multi-barreled behemoth Richard Widmark used in the Alamo and the one used in The Young Riders. Sure looked the same to me.
The first step of becoming a good shooter is knowing which end the bullet comes out of and being on the other end.

I couldn't locate Last Stand.. in imfdb.org.  It is a subscriber input database, so a bit spotty.  Someone might want to start a page for this movie?
