Did anyone shoot their Spencer at the N-SSA National last weekend? I was all set to, but had a flat and spent the repeater match at Omps Garage instead. I did get to shoot pistol, smoothbore, carbine and musket, but it wasn't the same without taking a Spencer to the line.

I got to shoot my Henry Saturday and took 1st place A3.  It is very hard to be competitive with a Spencer against the Henrys in repeater team.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a handsome, and well preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming...."WOW!... What a ride!"

That's true! But in A-3 I think you could win a medal with an all Spencer team. Just clearing the pigeon board puts you half way there. In musket we missed a medal by not doing well on the pigeon board, but shooting everything else well (maybe so-so on the 100 yard tiles).
