Howdy Folks,

I was looking to hand stitch one side of the strap and roll the other end under the main body.  I thought of using a chicago screw but wanted to have more "grab" on it.  I decided to use flush or T nuts from the hardware store.  (Same thing I used when the wood nut pulled out of my ahem Chinese shotgun).  Worked out real nice so I posted a couple of pics.  I attached the nut and set it into the leather.  Then I tapped the prongs over.  I used a finishing washer and oval head screw on the back side.

PP nice job. I do the same thing when attaching the holster to the skirt when no holster strap is being used. You have to be sure to line your holster and sandwitch the T nut inbetween the leathers so not to scratch you revolver. KT
Cheer up things could be worse, sure enough I cheered up and they got worse.

Thanks KT,

It is hard to tell from the pics, but the nut is on the flesh side of the cross strap. The second photo shows the strap being wrapped around the body and placed on the back.

Speaking of protecting the piece, I have also used a 3/4" plug (slug?) that I have mounted a snap in and then hand stitched the plug to the leather on an unlined piece.

Kind regards,

PhP

This method is a good one and one that has been used for different application, and it works well, thanks for the pictures and sharing this with us.
