Great article!!  ;D  It's a shame that you can't get one in the paper before the event!

That link shows a different photo than was in the newspaper. Cool!

Nice thing is that we had seven people travel out to visit us at the range today after that Sunday Edition hit the streets, and two or three are coming to our October shoot to get introduced to the sport by the club. Members are bringing a wide selection of firearms and ammo to let the folks shoot different examples under safe, supervised conditions.

As Mad Dog Roscoe said, "Once they've shot some lead down range, they're hooked!"

Thanks for the link, Delmonico.
(And by the way, wife approved the vest as "perfect style and color". She liked the piece 'o' eight cap too.)

I just found this thread. Thanks Delmonico for making "The Ruckus at Racoon Forks" even a little more famous. I really wish more people could have benefited from all the work that was done to make this the event that it was. If mother nature cooperates(no torrential rains), Racoon Forks is a wonderful place to cowboy shoot! Shade, breezes, improving stage fronts(the new jail is awesome!) and a match director  ,Mad Dog, that works very hard to make the shoot enjoyable yet challanging.(some people call the targets M&Ms!). We shot rifle targets(ok "AT" rifle targets) with pocket pistols, gunfighter at knock-down targets, and even a 200 yd. shot at a white tatonka! It was a great time!

RCJ  What was wrong with the picture in the paper? I quite liked it! (even though Elton, Ed and I remained nameless!

It is far better to remain silent, and be thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt!

Nothing wrong with the newspaper pic at all!
I was tickled that we got two photos out of the article to show to the public. :D
