I would would rattle Chuck Burrows cage on this one.  He had a small paer of one video in which he shows the techniques for inlays.  There was also an in depth video put out by Hidecrafters on this subject BUT I am not sure of their status right now.

If your doing an inlay, I have a tutorial on inlays on my website under"Knife Info",it will apply to snakeskin as well. For overlay's it is simply gluing the skin to the outside piece and trimming and sand the edges.Dave :)

thanks, but I am not lookin at inlays, more like how do you deal with the edges when lining etc, fold over ? maybe put some type of small flap over the leather and snake then sew that ?..what type of stitching etc etc..I am sure if I dont do the edge correct the snake skin will just wear itself off or peel back..

Yea i have had the same question ,what you want to do is use as much as the diamond pattern on the center of the wallet right,i have the rittles and that's the part i got to and never got any farther.Just like doing a belt, you want the pattern to line up well and be centered.Might go to a thrift store and see if you can find a Hecho en Mexico belt and see how they did it.Or get lucky and find a snattlerake one..

Dang it,I'm sorry Floyd you wasn't  supposed to see that :-X :-[
