Being lazy and not wanting to da anything I decided to play with something small.   ;D ;D  Get your mind out of the gutter!!!  This small Slim Jim does a pretty good job for the Colts '49 and '62 models as well as the Ruger Bearcat.  I would describe the fit as traditional but not sloppy and all guns are shown fully seated.  Though a bit snugger it actually works well with the '51 Navy, if used as a cut away trigger guard holster.  The leather is about an 8oz which should be plenty fine for guns in this size range.  The belt loop here was cut from 12oz leather to fit a two inch belt and it absolutely will not lay flat, thus keeping the guns grip well away from the body.

After finishing this I decided to try the same pattern using 6/7oz over a 4/50z liner to see if the smaller guns will ride a bit higher and wet fit well.  The new pieces are already punched for safety thongs but the lines are still the same.  I like it well enough to use it as a project holster and will remake it several times in an attempt to get it where I want it in stages.  I am thinking little gamers here worn on crossed belts.

Sorry about the photo quality but!!!!  The first one shows a '62 in the holster and the second photo shows it with a '51.

Rick, I have assured the wife that I must have a pair of Uberti Dragoons before I can make any more holsters!  HMMM, seriously will all Dragoon models fit the same holster pattern and is this smaller than one for the big Walker?  Here is the same little holster on the little Ruger BearCat.  A Single Six is to large.
