I am thinking of buying a Uberti 73 and want to shoot this bullet using 38 special brass.  Can you seat the ullet to the crimping groove and get reliable feeding or am i going to have to seat it longer?

Jefro

Yep, I use that bullet and the 125gr without any problem. Great gun, Taylors are good folks to deal with if you're buying stock new.  If you want one with an action job it is more cost effective to buy one slciked up straight from the gunsmith. Here's a few in no particular order that offer ready to roll package deals. Good Luck.

Thanks Jefro.  I use a 73 deluxe sporting rifle in 44-40 with a pioneer short stroke kit and all the other goodies but this time I am just going to buy a codymatic and be done with it.  I plan on loading the 158 grn Lee over a case full of 777 or APP.  I just want to be sure the 73 will feed this bullet profile ok

Jefro

Shouldn't have any trouble, tell Cody when you order it. I run the Big Lube Snakebite with 3f Schuetzen most of the time, just use that bullet and smokeless for local Wild Bunch. Good Luck
