Howdy Pards,

It's getting closer.  We would like to start getting an accurate head count of who is coming.

Please reply if you are coming to the Grand Muster.

Capt. Mack,   Do you still have openings in the Fort barracks? Want to know whether or not we will need to bring primitive camping equipment

Howdy Pards,

The Barracks is under construction and is scheduled to be completed but progress has been impeded.  We'll let y'all know the status as it gets closer.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone in November.  Hopefully the 100 deg temps will have ceased by then!

Howdy Pards,

During Long Range Side Matches we are going to include a category for Cap & Ball Revolver along with BP & Smokeless Cartridge.  So everyone bring your Walkers, '51 Navy, '58 Rem & '60 Army revolvers!  It'll be a hoot lobbing round balls out to 100 yds!

It's on my calendar and I'm still planning on being there.  However I'm not sure on the category yet.  Can you give us an idea of rifle round count for the main match and the EEM side match.  I never got any krag brass so even though I got all the other stuff unless the brass becomes available in time I won't be shooting it.  Have several other choices but it will depend on number of rounds needed for the matches.  And the battle rifle has a bearing on my field uniform.

Glad to hear you will be able to attend the Grand Muster, looking forward to meeting you.
As for the round count I still have two stages to write but it should be around 90-rifle and 83-pistol.
There will be a couple of stages where you shoot your rifle and pistol until the targets are down, so...
that could up the round count just a bit.
The round count for the long range side match and EEM is being written by Capt. Mack, I don't have
those numbers yet.

Someone asked about meal costs, I'm sorry I don't remember who.  After speaking to Kitchen Kate
the price for meals will be $7.00 per meal and $15.00 for the Saturday night Grand Ball meal.

So all GAF members need to remember what that famous American Davy Crockett said:
"YOU MAY ALL GO TO HELL AND I WILL GO TO TEXAS"  So byou be sure to be the one who goes to TEXAS.

Even though I mainly like to shoot the bolt action rifles and self cocking pistols,  I was actually hoping for some early revolving breech pistol action at the ranges our fore bearers actually used them and Colonel Colt designed them to be used at - Capt Mack did his homework and delivered! The GAF just keeps getting better and better with age.

I guess something is trying to tell me I need to be there, I just wish I could say for sure that I will be able to.

Outstanding Job,
Pvt Isaac
