After some difficulty I was able to purchase the M1909 revolver I asked about some time back.  It's not a museum piece, but is in good condition, clean bore, and all the parts match.  It has the proper government markings.  It will make a nice touch for a Vera Cruz/Punative Expedition/Early Naval Aviator impression.   ;)

I would like to add an M1909 pistol belt, but have not found a reproduction.  WPG makes a .38 cal. version of the belt.  Schipperfabrik just informed me that they are also making a version, but Heather was uncertain of the caliber.  I understand that the ammunition pockets on the belts are of different size.  If necessary, I'll get the .38 version and carry fewer rounds.   :)

I've ordered an M1909 holster from WPG and may have a Navy version made by a local leathercrafter.
