Lost a rounded end screw to one of my Mckeever boxes "hinge rod"

Anyone know where I can get one or a pair of the rounded end pieces that fit on the "hinge-rod" that hold the two halves of the McKeever pouches together?

It seems somehow I have lost one from one of my pouches I converted to use for brass shotgun shells.

Thanks

Not sure cause it has been a while since I had one in my hand but... you may be able to use the female cap end from a chicago screw... Put a drop of glue/loctite in the srew and just use a small piece of rubber under your thumg to crank it down.

If it won't work then you can get a piece of brass rod and thread the ends to allow for the chicago's to work in this manner.

If you have a repro box the nuts are most likely metric.  I just went down and looked at my repro box, glad I did, the nuts were loose.  Take the rod to your local supplier of hardware and buy a bolt with the same threads.  Pick up several nuts, brass if possible and check for acorn nuts to fit while you are there.  They aren't qutie the same but would be a quick fix and many plated acorn nuts are brass underneath.  Anyway go home and cut the head off the bolt, chuck it in a drill, screw 2 nuts on it and tighten them together. Power up your improvised lathe and go to work with a file.  The reason for buying several nuts is that you might not be able to duplicate the existing one but can make a matching pair.

Thanks Pards - I will try these solutions when I get back from my GOMEX deployment.
