Howdy Pards,

My Bride just served me some great tacos.  Venison, fresh tomatoes, fresh peppers, fresh onions and good Wisconsin cheese, sour cream and some great spices.

It's great when the garden comes in. . .

I suspect that she may have put some more stuff in, but it will remain a Dastardly secret.  Washed down by some good home brew it was absolutely championship cookin'.

Burp.

Sounds good. Despite a late start we had a good home crop and many meals from it. Freezing cold here now, all we have in is silverbeet, cabbages and giant garlics.

Planning on a real serious planting come Spring!

Just recently had a good spaghetti dinner here at home in SE Wisconsin with many of the same ingredients, including our own Italian seasoned venison hamburger mix. Only thing missing was the Wisconsin cheese - we was out of stock  :'(  I have about 60 lbs. of hamburger mix in the freezer yet, so a lot more meals and chili are in the future menus!

My better half is busy canning all kinds of veggies. She has a green thumb. Our yard, is called Jackies jungle.  We have been having lots of fresh veggies, cooked in different ways, last night we had zuchinni quesadeas, with garden peppers, and home made salsa.

Now if the deer hunting situation will get better at Boulder Junction, That will top of a good year.

some good tasting veggies and venison, it doesn't get any better than that. ::)   Tom

I realize that this is a black powder site, but that deer fell to my black powder gun.  However, I didn't use any Holy Black in the garden cept to get rid of some varmints. .

Quite right Dick - I guess I should also submit that some of the venison (very small amount) in my freezer fell to a '76 Win (Uberti) 45/60. Still waiting to drop one with the 45/75....

Check this out, tasted terrific, even though I didn't have any blue cheese, just substituted tasty cheddar. It is an Aussie site (Owned by Apple by the look of it, but they have some awesome recipes.

DD, I used some old smokeless powder that was of questionable quality in my garden boxes. Makes good fertizilizer supposedly. (That should make it somewhat ontopic ;))
I sure wish it was cool here. Its in the 90s, humid, and pretty much miserable today. But the tomatoes and cucumbers from the garden are good. My peppers are sporadic so far, but I have had a few.
