Is anyone here is familiar with the holster-flap button on the U.S. Military issue M1911 leather holster?  The flap is pushed over the button, which goes through a small hole in the flap.

Here are two photos of the holster and button detai.

The button is installed through the wrong or rough side of the holster and a cover is sewn over the back side of the button, to keep from scratching up the pistol.  You can just make out the circular stitching for this protective cover around the brass button in the second photo.

The question I have is: Where can I get hold of these high-quality brass fasterner buttons to install onto flap holsters and other gun leather accessory holders?

I've got way more of those than I will ever use both brass and Nickle plated.

Send me your address in a PM and I'll send you a few of each.

PS You'll need to buy an anvil though special to set these, they are just a few dollars.

If you buy the little anvil as suggested, you'll be surprised at how easily they can be installed.

The problem used to be in getting the right-sized one (kinda large), to properly fit the M1916 Holster, but that was some years ago.

You guys are really good about taking care of one another.  I can't thank you enough for sharing your talents and resources.  I guess it was just a matter of knowing what to call the darn things!  Thanks, tEN wOLVES, for letting me know what they're called.  And, I understand about getting the right size, St. George.
