I haven't see ol' Josh post here lately, but he's on other forums ????

St. George

Look further down the topics - you'll note that he's been to Arkansas for a knifemaking course - followed by the successful capture of whatever bug there is out there at the moment.

I'd imagine he's movin' slow after that...

Josh, we (okay, well for one, I) miss you...

Send us some pics .....

And how is that new little one?  Taking up a lot of your time, I am guessing?
My moniker is my great grandfather's name. He served with the 2nd Florida Mounted Regiment in the Civil War. Afterward, he came home, packed his wife into a wagon, and was one of the first NorteAmericanos on the Frio River southwest of San Antonio ..... Kinda where present day Dilley is ...

Heya Pards,

Been alot going on lately since returning from Arkansas.  Getting adjusted to our new schedule of wife back to work and taking care of the little ones being the biggie, LOL

Alls well though and I'm Finally getting some regular sleep at night  ;)

Our little premie Dani is not so little anymore being a hefty 9 pounder  ;D

Aside from that I've been spending every cent I got on the ole knifeshop and it seems as though I've got 10 project going simultaniously.

First and foremost I'm working on 2 knives as much as time allows, but they are comming along nicely ;D
Other than that-

I got a small Mig welder form my Pard Dave Cole (being the AWESOME and generous falla he is, he gave it to me for nothing !) so I picked up some wire and a welding helmet to go along with that. Still got to find time to get to the welders supply with the kids to get my bottle filled to have it up and running.

Comming home from school with the determination to get my forge set up I ordered all the parts needed to build a PID controlled forge.  Not exacly a small undertaking but one that will be worthwhile, and I THINK I'm up to the challenge of building it,  LOL

I had made up my mind that the next piece of equipment that I needed to add to the shop was a milling machine.  There are only about a million and one uses for a mill in the knifeshop so I've been doing my research and scoping e-bay and craigslist to get an idea of what kind of coin it was gonna cost me to get a mill when I ran across this gem which I could barely afford to pick-up without waiting.  Enlisting the help of a knifemaking buddy It took most of the weekend but we managed to transport this baby from the other side of the state to my garage  ;D  At 675 pounds this is NOT a light undertaking but we managed to accomplish the task without injury  ;)

In a nutshell that's what Ive been up too recently.

Yall will have to be patient on pics of the knives but they are in progress and should be real stunners when completed  :o

Thats all for now Pards, Yall take care-   Josh
