Off topic need some info~satelite~

Does anyone here have satelite internet?My daughter lives in Texas and has made us grandparents.Ma and i would like to get sattelite internet for her for at least a year and pay for it monthly.It would help her and us with staying in good contact with each other as she lives in a rural area..Just not sure of what plan would work best from Hughes net i guess,are they the only ones offering such.If you have it what is your experience in installation,customer service and such?Thanks Grandpa Click Rick

What ever you do stay away from "Wildblue".  I have it and they suck, big time. Slower than AOL on dial-up in the 90's. Can't wait to get rid of them.  Check out these people:

Rick, as far as I am concerned, they are just a bunch of slick "used car salesmen". In fact the used car guys have more integrety. There are about as many lawsuits against them as Bank of America has.

I learned how to fight them.Go thier website and look at what shows are on thier channels,write to the show channel and tell them you won't watch thier programs anymore because of the tactics the provider are using.

I have Hughes net for my internet provider, I live in the hill country, NW of San Antonio and have no complaints.
