Rear sight for a Taylors Sharps
« on: June 15, 2010, 11:03:48 PM »
Howdy- I just purchased a Sharps 1874 by Taylors.  The rear sight is junk and I'd like to replace it with a buckhorn style sight.  The dovetail is larger than the standard 3/8" dovetails and I was wondering if someone knows of a drift in sight that can act as a replacement?  I don't want to put a tang sight on yet so I was hoping that someone knows of a buckhorn sight that will fit the dovetail on the Taylor Sharps.

Check with the folks at Buffalo Arms ( www.buffaloarms.com ).  You'll find they are the most knowledgeable folks around on all things black powder.
