A pard and I have each had problems with breakage in '75 uberti Remmie hand springs.  I hear '58 hands hold up better, will a Pietta hand work- I don't see any 58 Remington uberti parts on VTI but they do carry Pietta

Howdy Santee,
I thiink it is the '58 hand SPRINGS that have been mentioned as holding up better in the '75, not the hand itself.  Look again, VTI does list parts for Uberti '58 (both BP and conversion) and '75.  The hands for the '75 and '58 are different part numbers.  However, VTI shows the hand spring for both '58 and '75 plus the Colt BP guns as all having the same part number 000018.  So I'm not sure why the '58 spring has been mentioned as holding up better if it is the same part.  Might give VTI a call and ask, they are very knowledgable.  Or maybe someone who has made that spring swap will chime in here.

FYI- Talked with VTI and they say that EMF recomends using the "58 hand- Lookin' at the catalog the spring alone is the same for everything but the 75, and lookin' at the hand/spring assembly the spring is pressed in -can't figger out how anybody of my skills at least could swap them.
