Buffalo hunting crew taken in the mid 1870's. The dog in the picture sure looks like an original bulldog.

The dog, With his cropped ears, looks more like an APBT, American Pitt Bull Terrier. A very popular dog during the Victorian era, in America.

I currently have an eighty-five pound male, that thinks he's a lap dog, to every woman that comes around our house.

Pete, the dog in the "Little Rascals" movies, was an APBT.

Yes, I do have more facial hair now.

I'd say that the rifle on the left is a ML Plains rifle.  ???

Bob - With that real short fore end and ram rod placement I'd say a muzzle loader double barrel more likely........
as noted the center rifle is a M1876 Winchester and that along with the dip in the boot tops on the shotgunner would IMO date this to the late 1870's or early 1880's????
