I can't personally verify real authenticity (I'm new at this stuff) but some of ya'll may find this link useful. They custom build all sorts of western wagons.

Incredible.  Anybody got about 40 or 50 thousand I could like... :-\ have?

One of these might be a better investment than a new full-size pickup truck.  In terms of resale value anyway. lol

You could just sell the children for scientific experiments.

Hansens build fine wagons but they're a bit pricey.
heres an original that I 've owned for several years. I've cooked out of many times. The last big cooking was at a Micheal Martin Murphy coyboy gathering  a couple years back.
After my heart atack its just been setting in the barn. its for sale if anyones interested.

Wish I had the money, I'd give it a good home.

The Hansen sight now gives me an idea as to how much my used but good solid wheels are worth.
Thanks for the link.

Other parts of the country yes, but not down your way Books, to many Amish down in NW Missouri, they make them for I'm told about half what Hansen's does.  Everyone up here I know who has restored a wagon or similar device has went that route.  That is unless you find someone who don't know about the Amish. :)

Yep.....You can get a wheels...made just like they did in the 19th century, 3 inch steel treads, large heavy hubs, dished spokes up to 56 Inch diameter....for around $285.00 a piece, built in Ohio.

I have the opportunity to buy... a John Deere, in very very good shape. All it needs is a new wagon bed for $1100,00. I'm still contemplating it......The wheels, axles are in excellent shape.

4 wheels at $285 = $1,140.00.  Sounds like a pretty good deal!

If all the running gear and brakes are still on the old J.D.  I think it is a reasonable deal.

Bill;
That sounds like a good deal.
I've been looking for a wagon to build into a chuck wagon down in this part of the state but the wheels are usually broken up.
Good luck with the one you have a line on.
