I recently was given A 5 1/2" 1858 New Army (courtesy of Cabelas recent sale) as an anniversary gift.  I ordered an R&D stainless .45 Colt cylinder for it almost immediately.  I finally got to the range today and I love this gun.  Lots of fun to shoot, but slow to reload.  The cylinder fits really tight, especially loaded.  It takes some work to get the cylinder to slip in.  I did notice it was getting better after the first box of shells.  I've been lurking here awhile and learning a lot, I sure am glad I found this place.
