This pistol came with the HR black checker 2 piece but I cant help but love the feel of good fitting 1 piece grips. If there are anybody out there who has a set that they dont need I would be happy to trade my 2 piece or buy your extras. I am fairly mechanically apt but to make my own I figure my meager skills are deeply lacking to produce something even close. Please hit me an e-mail or pm me with and detail and pricing. Thanks a bunch pards, RC

If USFA's are anything like a Colt SAA, than the likelihood of your hard rubber stocks perfectly fitting any other USFA are unlikely.  I may be wrong on this, but I once purchased a pair of real Nutmeg Sports ivory stocks, they had come off another Colt, and they were not a perfect fit on my Colt SAA, they were short in some dimensions, and long in others.

Yep I am sure that you are correct. I also bought to pair of Nutmeg Ivory grips that were fitted to third generation Colts. One was thin on the left panel with the right fitting decently, the second set required light sanding but fit great when I was finished. I know they wont be perfect but hopefully I can adapt and get them into a good fit. Its a shot in the dark I know but cant hurt to throw it out there and see if I get any leads. Thanks, RC

Cheaper and quicker than getting a set through USFA, and they both do great work. :)

I love Joe Perkins's work. He's quite an artist.
A work in progress.

My shootin' pard has 2 or 3 pair of his grips, and they are mighty fine.   :)
