Does your group pull left with your Remmies?

I'm just curouis if other remington shooters have the same problem with their 58's.
Off the bench, my Pietta shoots about 3-4" left at say 25 yards but offhand it will put the group about 8" left.

The culprit seems to be too little trigger finger if you believe those diagnostics targets. I must admit, there's not a whole lot of room in the trigger gaurd to use an average pull.

Anyone else have this issue?

I don't, but then I shoot Uberti New Model Army revolvers (1858s).  Not sure if that makes a difference.  My issues are more up-to-down than sideways, but that typically belongs to me, not the pistols.

Wolfgang

I had the problem at first but it was a pull to the right that opened up a group that would have been 4 inches to an oval off to the right measuring 4 in. vertical and 8 inches wide with it off to the right.  Problem was that I was helping support the pistol with my trigger finger.  Corrected this by some dry firing exersise in the evenings.  Would balance a dime on the top of the barrel.  Practice trigger pull being careful not to support with my trigger finger and to let off without the dime falling off.  Quickly developed the right grip & trigger pull ( for me ). And corrected the problem.

Good shootin', . . .  :)
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

Another tip is to relax your little (pinkie) finger, in other words, only grip with your two middle fingers and thumb.
Too much tension on the little finger will pull the barrel down and possibly sideways, depending on the size of your hand.
As Wolfgang said, practice your dry-firing, ( until it becomes second nature ).

Have you check to see if your barrel is screwed in all the way.  That was the problem with mine.  The barrel was off by couple of degrees.  It is at the gunsmiths' now to get fixed.

Now that's one I had never considered -- an incompletely-screwey barrel....   ;D

I don't let any group shoot my guns and nothing about me pulls left.  ::)

We now return you to your regular program.

In case any doubt remains, I don't have any shortcomings, either...so there! PFFFTTTTTT!!!

When are we gonna get together and compare Henrys?

Hey!  Where's a good place near Pasadena that can handle 10-15 people, will give us individual checks, has good food and a quiet atmosphere with decent service, and doesn't cost as much as a new six-shooter?

Make it easy to find and get to from a major freeway.  (Some of us ain't natural-born Indian scouts, y'know.  One of my greatest fears is wandering around LA County until I starve because I can't ind a freeway home.)

I'm workin' on it, 4-T-Rod, and I've got my friends in the Pasadena PD involved to boot.  More later.

We return you now to your regularly-scheduled thread...

You're telling the cops about us?  Omigod, we're doomed.

C'mon 4-T-Rod, you know I'm no stool pigeon (there ain't a big enough stool anyway.)  I'm just asking a couple of friends on the force to recommend some good places.
