Bob;  Where are you going to need bear protection?  Sweden?  Are there bears there?  Canada?  You can't carry a pistol in the bush here!  Must be the US?  Alaska?

We have lots of bear here... And when in fishing or prospecting I want to bring my gun, just in case :-\

Here is HODGDON's load chart for .45 Colt;

Select "pistol", ".45 Colt", and "Get Data"

I don't see your powder?  What powders can you get in Sweden?  Nobel, Norma, Vihtavouri?  American powders?  I have a new Vaquero, but have only shot .45 Cowboy special loads, but full loads are on my Too-Do list.

The New Model Vaqueros are listed safe with Colt level loads aren't they? Not to be confused with Blackhawk or Old Model Vaquero loads. If it was bears I was fixing to shoot, I think I'd go for a heavier boolit.

That powder is not available here, so I can't comment on it I'm afraid. I'd rather shoot bears than catch fish. I would be failing to concentrate on the fishing if I thought that I might have a chance to plug a bair!
All my cowboy gun's calibres start with a 4! It's gotta be big bore and whomp some!

It looks like your load is listed on the Vihtavuori website.  As it appears to be a regular pressure load, I'd say that you are OK for a new Vaquero
