I was diggin thru my old stuff looking for holsters, and ran across these. I had forgot about em over the past few years.
The black one was my attempt at Vinagaroon, and was made back in April '08. It still smells somewhat like vinegar......  :-X
Never did the edges on it or anything, but just might finish it one of these days. I really like this pattern.

The other is one from '07, and it doesnt look too bad, but wearing it is a disaster. The belt loop is loose at the top, which gives it enough room to swing the grip back and forth, knocking you in the hip. I also dont like the trigger guard area, as it doesnt match the contours of the gun. Easy fix, but have never done it. Just set it aside.

Pics of the back are for JD. ;) ;) Its in the mail, JD. ;D

Heres a triple loop one that I made sometime. Cant read the date stamp very well. Probably sometime in '05 or '06. Its actually a fairly decent holster, but with the Walker, and all that cow, its heavy. It even has a toe plug, but its not stitched in, just glued.

Beautiful work on that black one Dalton. Those descending size spots really add to that long slim look. I love it. And I don't see anything wrong with the other one either. Good honest holsters

And heres a shot of the progression of my very first holster for the Walker (and my first holster ever) to pretty much the present.
The first one was made in about 1994 or '95.

I think I supported the beef industry well over the years.

Great work Dalton, and thanks for the back pics! Now that I've made a couple of Slim Jims I'm starting to get the hang of sewing those keepers on. Appreciate the news on the mail :D

Thanks all.
Its interesting to look at my progress over the years. Changes in construction, patterns,  sewing, dye, and even leather quality really make themselves evident when comparing them to each other.

NWG, Not that one, but I could do another one. Your other rig should be done this weekend. Will send you some pics when its ready.

WC, when and where ya headin?

10W, thats just an old bridge plank piece. I will let you have it if you come get it!

AAahh. Are you taking I-80??
My wife wants me to go to Sheridan, but she also wants me to go to DisneyWorld this summer. Vacation time is limited with cowboy shoots, deer hunting, etc, so..... If I wasnt going to Florida, I might have been there.
