Vintage Tintype Photograph Photo Cowboy's ? Outlaws ?

This is an neat vintage old Tin Type Photo of five young tough looking cowboys , outlaws or cowhands ? It is in good condition some wear. Three are sitting two with a straw hat in hand the other two are standing one with hat on head. Look to be dressed in nice clothes. It measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.

A couple of Pards of mine noticed this about the photo.

"Are those reinforced toes on the soles of their boots or just(fairly)new half-soled boots ? Interesting photo."

That caught my eye.

Judging by the (seeming) appearance of the rest of the boot(s), I am guessing that their boots are well-used and that they were repaired by "half soling."

Look half soled to me.

I think the guy seated in the center is really stoned, had a friend years ago used to get that look.

Occupation....Could be any of the above......I note a few of them have similar head shape, eyes, and mouths....so I'm guessing family photo.

Easy now...

...I used to watch guys doing road construction (& watch them pass-out from heat exhaustion). I was the hwy-dept guy and monitored the contractor. Trust me, you would not have wanted them working without supervision

The "stuff" they tried to pull was amazing!

Since those days, the contractors were allowed to inspect their own work...you can probably see (& feel) how that's workin' out.
