Big T,

I know of a wood worker who has a reproducing router setup where he can make exact copies of stocks and forearms ... he specializes in Nazi machine guns and such ... even has copies of the inspectors stamps for them.

If you have the original forestock, he might be able to make a copy for you ...

Let me know ...

I think an old sailboat trick might work on this ... we used it to mate up flat surfaces to decks with a gentle curve ....

Buy some of the rolls of sanding paper that is made to fit on circular sanders, and that has a tape-like backing.

Place these on the curved area, using the 'taped' side to attach it to the barrels.

Use a bandsaw to roughly get the wood to the approximate dimensions ... especiallymake sure it fits the width of the 'trough' in the forearm.

Then slide the wood over the sandpapered barrels back and forth until if 'fits'.

Then, if one is really anal about the fit, one could lay in a bed of fiberglass on the troughed wood forestock, remove the sandpaper from the barrels and replace it with a layer of release (perhaps a spray on product).

Then spooge the barrels into the forestock and let it sit until the fiberglass 'cooks.

You would then have a bedded fiberglass forestock, and all that would remain would be forming the outside to where it fit comfortably.

Again, if you were really anal about it, you could send the whole gun to someone like Coyote Cap's son and have him laser check both the forearm and pistol grip (so that it looks standard).

Here is a pic of what he can do ...
