Yesterday I was in a gunshop here in upstate New York, and lo and behold there was a new Mossberg .22 lever action.  I've read that they were going to make one, but hadn't even seen a picture.  It's a good looking gun, and is a heavy little bugger.  The one I saw had what appeared to be a stained birch stock with a glorious amount of tiger striping - it needed to have the stain stripped off and about 30 coats of Formsby's tongue oil.  You'd bet your last dollar it was tiger maple of the highest level.  I've done that to several Ruger 10/22 stocks, and they come out spectacular.  At any rate, has anyone heard about them?  I'd be interested, being a sucker for Mossberg .22's having 3 at this point, if they shoot well.  The price was about $350.  At any rate, I'm looking for information.  Thanks!
