It's not just the size of the deer or the number of points, it's about HOW you did the deed. I taken several deer with handguns. I have more personal satisfaction using a Colt SAA at 18 feet than a modern rifle at 200 yards.

I'm With you SF. I don't hunt with any modern guns any more. I just enjoy being out there. After 30 years of dealing with the day to day of being on a city PD, I just want to escape. If I get to harvest an animal the right way, It just makes a great day better!  Jed
