Had this for sale, but rethinking it.  The revolver is one of the very early 51 Navies imported by Val Folgert for Navy Arms.  The bottom of the barrel is marked GREGORELLI & UBERTI GARDONE V.T. ITALY.  Top of barrel marked NAVY ARMS CO. RIDGEFIELD N.J - ITALY.  The date stamp makes it 1962.  Cylinder marked 1861 -1961.  It has a silver plated backstrap and TG.  Unfired.  Apparently very collectable and scarce exept the dolt I bought it from stripped the finish off to "antique" it.  :'(

I have a real earl Uberti 51 also. It has no rollmark on the cylinder (just plain) but the right upper rear side of the barrel has the script GU on it. Pretty cool.........I like the eary Uberti's better than the current ones.

I could do a nice sort of marbeled "used" (not antique) blue on that pistol for you.

Thanks HH.  I was pretty stunned myownself.  RPRCA has one like yours.  Jim Davis said he had never seen one with the engraved cylinder before.  Perhaps the buyer knew it was very scarce and was willing to pay alot despite the finish.  In any event, I used the profit to pay for most of a used Beretta .380 for the wife!  8)

Nice job Dusty on the sale, yeah sometimes people can post some odd amounts at the close of those bids to try and win something.

About an hour before auction ended, a couple of lurkers jumped in and started slugging it out.  I have done the same thing and got carried away. ;D

Yea, I was one of those bidding until I found out I already had one.   I had picked it up over ten years ago and those under loading lever markings were not in the data base information.  Ours was used as an MGM prop gun and is so marked on the butt.
