Mailing a cap & ball to CA

Anyone know the laws ,for sending a Cap & ball to CA.

Yeah, it has to be in package with sufficient postage or FedEx stickers.  Other than that it's like sending a mop.

The following is part of a message I got from the guy who sent me my 1851

...and the old Uberti just got mailed. The fellow at the post office was real helpful. Sent out one small box with the frame and one small box with the barrel and cylinder that way I was just sending parts. Don't wanna end up doing the handcuff shuffle!

When I received this message I was a little ticked off the "The fellow at the post office" for mis-advising 
this poor guy. Then I got my 1858 a few days later and found out that the larger flat rate box that it came in
was a few cents more than the total of the two smaller boxes that the 1951 came in.

    Thank GOD we can still mail C&B, but it can be confusing with that no handgun symbol in every post office.

Fed X lost one that was coming to me.  I prefer UPS.   Pack it GOOD.  Insure it as hardware or machine parts.  Send it.  Simple.
