10,500 PRS Boolits...

...; 13,125 MAV boolits; 6,562 DD/PRS 400gr boolits; or 5,250 DD/PRS 500gr boolits! Y'all are saying, "What in tarnation is Slim babblin' 'bout?" Well, I'll tell ya. A friend of mine (yes, I have 1 or 2 of 'em) gave me a 4" diameter by 5' long pipe filled with lead. He was told there is 375 lbs in it. He has two more. They were used as counter weights for an overhead door. When they cut the sash cord, the pipes imbeded into the concrete floor. My assumption was it were pig lead, but it is harder than BP pistol balls. I think it might be a bit softer than WW's, but I don't know since I don't have a hardness tester. When I do the math, that much lead is gonna save me $650 compared to buying boolits.

How you gonna shoot up all thet lead?      It'll oxidize by the time ya get it all out the end of yer gun, unless you plan on turning "gamer" on us and (gasp!) practice!

And what exactly would that warthog caliber be ?
Would this be a smokeless load, or the holy black ?
Do you have tha appropriate holster for this shooting iron ?

Let us know how it goes and as far as hardness goes, I take reading in my own simple way. What other way for me, right? I take hardcast, wheelweight cast and pure lead bullets and it simplypush a 10penny nail into them and compare with what I am casting. A low budget hardness tester, patent pending.

I never thought of that. I was using my finger nail but was not getting consistent results.
