I hope that I'm not breaking any rules here, but I have tried posting in the wanted part of the classifieds and can't seem to get the space to post. So i'm hoping that the moderators will grant me a little Leeway. Anyway, a few years ago,Dixie Gun Works imported an Italian copy of the Colt Revolving Rifle. Root style. I heard that many were returned because of timing problems.
Well I am still trying to acquire one. I think that a gunsmith friend of mine can devise a fix. So if anyone has one that they would like to sell or trade, please contact me. I'm in the Los Angeles area. My E-mail is:civwar2001@aol.com

Ya might want to post on the forums devoted to Civil War reenactments.  I image that those rifles sold to them folks.  They weren't really of any use in other shooting venues.
Beware the man with one gun, he probably knows how to use it.

...and I doubt they are easily fixable.   Dixie has a pretty fair gunsmith or two who have fixed problem guns for them before, like the Starr C&B pistols that wouldn't fire.   If they gave up on the Root rifles I'd say they must have a bad problem.

It sounds like they are pretty well Root&%.
All my cowboy gun's calibres start with a 4! It's gotta be big bore and whomp some!
