I decided to slug the barrel on my 1858 Armi San Paolo.I used a .454 round ball. The ball seemed to be a little harder to move at the point the barrel enters the frame.Has anyone else noticed this when slugging a revolver?I think I will have to get some cerrosafe and try that to make sure.

Hoof Hearted

Constriction in the frame (too tight). Pretty common but don't dispair it will probably shoot OK with soft lead and BP.

Like already said ..very common with the screwed in barrels .
Chances are it will shoot just fine .
If its something you just can`t live with ...it can be lapped out .

Next mic your cylinder chambers. Most repros have chambers that are bored under the groove diameter of the barrel. They can easily be opened up with the proper size hand reamer from someplace like MSC Industrial Supply.
