Helping a Friend

I had the honor of JD asking me to do the coloring on a Guitar Strap he carved for someone at his church.
Here is the detail area of the strap.

That is absolutely beyond any expectation that I might have had. It's a silk purse of a finish on a sow's ear of a carving, but it looks fantastic none the less.

I cannot thank you enough for taking your valuable time on this project. It means a lot to me, and Heather is going to love it.

  WC, that color looks really nice, it puts the crowning touch on that strap. JD, stop being so hard on yourself I havn't seen anything that you have shown use that I didn't like and that strap is no exception. Your friend is going to love it. Great job of carving and finishing.

Yes sir that is in the WOW!! catagory    .  JD very nicely done carving job and the icing on the cake was the coloring well done WC.  It all added up to a beautiful guitar starp and the lucky lady will love it.  YEEEEEHAAAAAAAA!!

This the second guitar strap I made with roses. I tried to color & finish it, and it looked like a holster, but it came out looking terrible. So  when I finished  coloring it it looked really bad. It was so bad I had my wife tell me to junk it. That's bab brother.
