Ruger and Le Mat paired up

Picked up a copy of James Axler's Deathlands Perdition Valley. A strange but interesting story about a group of warrior survivalists drifting through the ruins of North America. Talk about a motley crue of different characters. One of them is doctor that was "frozen" due to complications from surgery, she awoke one hundred years after the holocaust. The other strange character is a man named "Doc" Tanner. He was a test subject for a top secret project that dealt bringing people from the past to the present through some sort of time experiment. He was in fact a schoolteacher from nineteenth century Vermont, age 38. The jump through time aged him considerably, but he is quite capable of holding his own in the Deathlands with his ebony walking stick/sword plus his Le Mat revolver and his .44 Magnum Ruger. Both of which he uses to great effect!
